Pulp and Paper

Power events are a frequent cause of disruption and drive failure in the pulp and paper industry. Monitoring power quality is important to prevent unplanned downtime and costly scrap.

The Sustainability Manufacturing Case Pulp and Paper Industry

Identifying Root Cause of Drive Failures Saves Millions. One of the world's largest pulp and paper manufacturers, with over 200 sites worldwide,
experienced drive failures without known cause.

These failures at one of the world's 10 largest paper mills cost millions in lost drives, unplanned downtime, and other costs.

Rockwell Automation and their local authorized distributor team from The Reynolds Company / McNaughton and McKay engaged Denison Technologies to determine the root
cause of these asset failures that were costing millions. All agreed to a close collaboration.
A Denison-Rockwell-customer partnership would remediate problems in this plant and similar failures throughout the company.
